We take a $100- non-refundable deposit.
Q2 What If I Can’t Make It At The Last Minute? (Back to top)
We try to be understanding but, you must realize, we run a business and very often have turned others away because we are already fully booked for that day. People don’t normally decide to get professional photos taken at a few days notice so it is not viable to refill that spot at short notice usually. Once we have sent you your Booking Confirmation, we will allow 10 days, from the date of verbal booking, to receive your deposit to confirm your Booking. Any rescheduling, other than effected by Romantagraphs due to inclemental weather, will be subject to the charges below. Any rescheduling within 7 days before the confirmed Photography Session date will result in the full loss of your $100 deposit and another $100 deposit will be required to confirm your new date. If the reason was illness and you provide us with a Doctors Certificate we will allow rescheduling without loss of deposit.

The balance is due on the day of your Photography Session.
Q4 What Form Of Payment Do You Accept? (Back to top)
We accept cash, personal cheque, money order, Visa, or Mastercard.
Q5 Will You Hold A Date While I Decide? (Back to top)
No. The first person who decides to use us and who pays their deposit secures that date. To avoid disappointment, act as soon as possible.
Q6 Who Is The Photographer? (Back to top)
The owner of Romantagraphs, Ken Holt, is your photographer. The only way this would vary was if, by some emergency, he was too ill to attend. We would contact you regarding this and reschedule a date.
Q7 Why Do You Have A Stylist? (Back to top)
We want your session to be fun ……….. not tedious. We combine natural candid photography with some traditional poses. The stylist organizes the photograph structure quickly and effortlessly, enabling you to enjoy faster, more relaxed photographs. Our stylist also ensures all the little features are looking their best. She’s a great Wiggles singer to get you all laughing too !
Q8 How Many Locations Do You Go To? (Back to top)
We normally photograph at Carrs Park, Blakehurst, or in our Home Studio at 39 Thurlgona Rd, Engadine. We will go to another location but this requires a travelling fee depending on the location. You need to discuss this with us individually.
Q9 What Happens If It Rains? (Back to top)
We speak to you early in the morning on the day of your shoot if it is rainy, or blowing a gale, and you can then reschedule, free of any charges, or choose to come to 39 Thurlgona Rd, Engadine and use our indoor studio. Our indoor studio is not huge so this possibility does remain subject to the number of people we are shooting in your group.
Q10 Do You Shoot Film or Digital? (Back to top)
We use both mediums for our work. It is your choice. Our packages are outlined in Our Portrait Photography Investment PDF File. Simply contact us for a copy.
Q11 How Long Before I Get My Photographs? (Back to top)
For a film shoot your photographs are placed in a Keepsake Presentation Album.
For a digital shoot, you receive a Hi Res DVD File.
This is available for collection approximately a week after your Photography Session.
Q12 Do I Get My Film Negatives or a Hi Res File? (Back to top)
That depends on the package you have chosen.
On all packages you have 12 months to place your orders. Orders received after this are no longer redeemable and no exception will apply.
Q13 Do You Use My Photographs For Advertising Purposes? (Back to top)
Romantagraphs reserves the right to use any images they have taken for advertising and promotional purposes. Romantagraphs retains the copyright to all photographs taken (even though negatives are included in most packages).
Q14 How Many People Are Allowed In The Photography Session? (Back to top)
This is entirely up to you. We do not limit the numbers. We encourage our clients to bring along their parents, as well as their children. Sometimes siblings get together and share a session. This is fine but you must be aware that, on the day, not every photo can be counted upon. People may turn their head at the last minute, sneeze, blink, have a fly land on them…any number of things! We require you to return, with your Booking Deposit, a Photography Session Information Sheet outlining what your individualized requirements are for your Session. With large groups you may want to shoot digital in order to have images only limited by your session time.
Q15 How Long Is A Shoot? (Back to top)
We allow up to one hour for a Photography session. This time is strictly adhered to as there will be people booked in after you. For this reason we ask for you to be on time and to have your children rested. Bringing along a favourite toy, or a treat for the children helps to get smiles and co-operation.

Q17 What Clothes Are Available For Rental? (Back to top)
We have olde worlde clothes available for children up to the age of 12. We have various props that suit this style of photo we bring along on the day as well. Olde Worlde images are usually taken barefoot so it is a good idea to bring along a pair of thongs for in between shots as there may be bindis !

It is best to decide on a simplified colour scheme and harmonious fashion style.
Q19 Do You Do Gift Vouchers? (Back to top)
Yes. Each gift voucher is individually calligraphied to your personal requirements. They are valid for 12 months from the date of issue.

Yes. This is an individualized service where we get a quote for you on each piece of work. |
